CENTER TOOL WAS FOUNDED IN 1972

The five founders worked together at a moulding factory in Brøndby Strand. They acquired a machinefacility at Vangeleddet in Greve where Center Tool is still located today.

In the 1970s they exclusively manufactured tools for plastic. In 1981, Rikard Hansen was employed as a punching maker. With this new in-house expertise, Center Tool started making tools for metal, aluminum and gold. The following decades, Center Tool started producing a long range of casting and moulding tools for well know Danish manufacturing companies. The final product ended up in many Danish homes, e.g. the classic Danish B&O remote control, KTAS pushbutton phone and the light grey sockets.

PIONEERS WITHIN 3D CONSTRUCTION

Center Tool was one of the first moulding tool companies to use 3D construction programming for their tools. Today, our constructors use only the 3D program Solid Works. Here, all of our construction work begins. Afterwards, all drawings are converted via Mastercam for the machines to read.

In 1985, Center Tool expanded, and new square meters made room for more and improved manufacturing equipment.

NEW OWNERS FROM 2017

In the 1990s and 2000s, as the founding owners reached retirement, Richard Hansen took over the majority of the ownership, and the foreman Bo Petersen bought shares in the company in 2005. They managed the company together until the Summer of 2017 where the 3^rd generation got a new position. In July 2017, Lars Nygaard became the managing director and bought 75% of the company. He is now managing the company together with Bo Petersen.

Center Tool is run by the same spirit as when the company was founded in 1972. It is a company driven by precision, expertise and development of punching tools in the highest possible quality to the Danish industry.
